THE LAUNCH PARTY

The Launch Party for Going UP the Country will be held June 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Vermont Farmers Food Center — the winter farmers’ market — on West Street. Look for the big green building! We’ll have music from the 1960s and early 70s performed by some members of the Saltash Serenaders, sweets by Claire Clarino of Back Home pastry fame, and cider pressed by Charlie Brown. Come celebrate the counterculture movement — wear your favorite outfit from the time or bring something you made to share — no pressure; just a fun idea if you choose. Or, if you were not part of the movement but were always curious about it, check it out. I’ll read a little excerpt from the book, and talk about why I undertook the project. There will be social time when you can share your own story. It will be fun!!!
